Rivery is currently seeking a Global Solution Architect to join the expanding Solutions Engineering team. The strategies, methodologies, operational practices, and team ethos we establish now will serve as the blueprint for future endeavors. In the role of Solution Architect, your responsibilities will include facilitating the setup, configuration, and continuous upkeep of Rivery's comprehensive suite of connectors. Leveraging your expertise across various applications, data lakes, databases, and file systems, you'll collaborate directly with customers and prospects to ascertain requirements and devise an architecture and integration plan to meet those needs. Throughout the process, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing implementation performance, providing guidance on best practices for source and target setup, and applying your analytical skills to resolve technical issues.

A key aspect of the Solution Architect position involves empowering customers to assume responsibility for installation once it's been tested and prepared for deployment in a production environment. Consequently, you should feel confident in creating educational materials and conducting training sessions to facilitate the adoption of potentially new software applications.

Furthermore, you'll be part of a collaborative environment, engaging not only with customer stakeholders but also interfacing with various internal teams, including Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers. As such, effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential as you address a wide array of topics and challenges.

This is a global role and thus will serve prospects, customers, and partners globally across our US and EMEA offices.

In this role you will

Dive into the installation process of various Rivery connectors, covering applications, databases, files, and events. This entails:

• Preparing environments for replication, potentially involving SQL scripting or command-line tasks to activate comprehensive transaction logging, archiving/backing up, and preparing tables for analysis.

• Setting up high-volume database connectors utilizing a combination of user interfaces and command-line operations.

• Collaborating with customer and partner teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during implementation, addressing aspects such as data validation, performance assessment, and fine-tuning databases and environments.

• Building creative solutions within the Rivery product to ensure timely product adoption during customer onboarding phases

• Empowering customer and partner teams to embrace and manage Rivery's database connectors through comprehensive training sessions and detailed documentation.

• Collaborating with internal Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback for enhancing connectors across scaling, performance, and usability.

Required skills

• Extensive experience in data integration and replication.

• Proficiency across a wide range of databases, data warehouses, and operating systems.

• Advanced SQL knowledge.

• Proficiency in command-line operations, including scripting.

• Advanced understanding of networking methodologies, including SSH tunneling and VPNs.

• Exceptional logical and analytical abilities for problem-solving and optimization in databases, data warehouses, environments, and networking strategies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.

• Resourceful, self-motivated, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines for various clients.

• Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

• Experience with a non-command-line scripting language such as Python.
