Robotics V&V Team Leader

We are looking for a Robotics Verification and Validation Team Leader to join our robotics group.

The robotics team at Fabric has the responsibility of creating Fabric's robots, starting from initial concepts all the way to deploying fully operational fleets. The team consists of a diverse group of professionals including Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Computer Engineers, and software developers.

Position Overview:

As the Robotics V&V Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals engaged in testing and analyzing Fabric’s fleet of robots and all new features developed for them. Your team’s primary goal will be to Design, perform and analyze all tests within the robotics group, serving as the gatekeeper before full system integration testing, as well as lead the fault analysis and solution design for all issues related to the robotics group, working closely with all other teams in the robotics group

What you'll do:

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of V&V engineers or specialists, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Identify training needs within the V&V team and provide coaching and guidance to enhance their technical skills and knowledge. Foster a culture of learning and professional development within the team

• Test Planning, Execution and Reporting: Develop an efficient test plan in collaboration with R&D engineers, Oversee the execution of verification and validation activities. Review test results, identify defects or issues, and provide recommendations for resolution

• Test Methodology: Continuously evaluate and enhance the testing methodologies and tools to increase effectiveness.

• Fault analysis: Take the lead in all aspects concerning fault analysis within the robotics group, overseeing the overall performance and delving into the underlying causes of particular issues. Present the findings to the robotics leadership forum. The priorities and direction of the robotics group will be guided by the analysis and recommendations provided by the V&V team leader

• Fault analysis infrastructure: Take charge of the entire process of establishing the fault analysis framework, starting from the initial stages of determining the robot's logging parameters to constructing the necessary tools for data aggregation and analysis. The system can be developed internally, or as an alternative, the team leader can oversee a different person (from within Fabric or an external sub-contractor) for system development. Maintenance and minor updates should be handled internally

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or Software Engineering/Computer Science with relevant work experience in the other engineering fields)

• Proven coding experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role

• Proficiency in designing and executing test plans

• Proficiency in extracting meaningful insights through data analysis

• Familiarity with various testing techniques, including functional, performance, usability, and regression testing

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
