About the role

We are looking for a motivated full time in-house legal counsel to join our growing legal team. In this role and as a trusted partner, you’ll have a unique opportunity to shape the legal infrastructure at Riverside. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a key role on our commercial team and will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Providing support to the business and sales teams throughout procurement processes, facilitating contract negotiations, and ensuring the successful closure of agreements.

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of agreements, ranging from Software as a Service, various forms of software licenses, support and maintenance, professional services contracts, and non-disclosure agreements. Advising on liabilities, legal restrictions and risks associated with such agreements.

• Providing practical, business-oriented legal counsel to various departments across the company (sales, marketing, product, RnD, etc.)

• Ensuring compliance with data privacy and GDPR regulations.

• Creating and maintaining standard templates, business processes and internal policies to help scale the business.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience at leading law firm supporting hi-tech companies

• Strong understanding of commercial transactions, including Saas, licensing, and non-disclosure agreements

• Experience in reviewing vendor agreements independently. Able to work independently, a motivated self-starter.

• In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations, particularly GDPR 

• Familiarity with developing AI regulations

• Business-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving commercial objectives.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong writing skills, analytical approach, attention to details, and organizational abilities.

• English – Full Professional Proficiency (drafting, editing, meetings, and day to day tasks are solely in English).
